I have been having problems with the system being shut down a short way into the scan, so I tried the advice given in another thread to deselect "unload recognized processes and modules during scan" in the engine tweak section. This appears to work properly now, with the exception of 60 or so alerts for NoAdware which I understand is being looked at now.

My question is, do I need to leave "unload recognized processes and modules during scan" permanently deselected, and what are the ramifications of doing so? In other words, what does this button do?
