I have always used Ad Aware SE Personal and trusted it completely. I recently installed Ad Aware 2007 and immediately started having issues.

1. Right after installation the first web page I tried to view I got the pop up that my computer may be infected and it wanted me to install a program. I did not.

2. About 3 minutes into the scan a box popped up saying the application GLB1A2BN.exe had encountered problems and had to close.

3. In checking my event viewer I saw where it said system restore had been turned off on all drives.

When I searched for the file on my computer nothing was found but I found the file in the temp folder. In "Prefetch" I found GLB1A2B.exe, GLB1A2Bn.exe and GLB1A2Bp.exe

I am running XP Pro SP2, 256mb ram, 40 g hd

Hello,

* Download Trend Micro Hijack This™
Doubleclick the HJTInstall.exe to start it.
By default it will install HijackThis in the Program Files\Trendmicro folder and create a desktop shortcut.
HijackThis will open after install. Press the Scan button below.
This will start the scan and open a log.
Copy and paste the contents of the log in your next reply.
