I was relieved to upgrade to Ad-Aware 2007, because Ad-Aware SE updates were not working with Earthlink servers. After researching the problem, I found other Earthlink users here who described having to change their DNS servers in order to download updates. So I did that. Every time I updated, I had to go select an alternate DNS. It was very annoying, and as far as I am aware, Lavasoft never corrected the problem.
So I upgraded to 2007. Yay, I was able to update!
Until now.
Ad-aware 2007 keeps telling me I have the most current updates, but the ones I have are dated August 25, and it is now Sept 3. What is going on? Please don't tell me how to come to the Lavasoft site to download the updates manually. I am sick of having to take special actions to get my product to work. Why is the program telling me that my updates are current, when I go to your site and see that there is a definitions file for today?
Please, please, please tell me what is wrong. I am getting very tired of fighting with Lavasoft products, just to get them to work the way they are supposed to work.

This is how mine are set and my AAW2007 Pro updates without problems (if yours are the same, please read on below):

The actual program component updates have to checked for manually at this time. Once AAW2007 is open, click on the "Update" button again - this is the sequence that follows:

If this is not occuring for you, then the FAQ: I cannot update the Definitions File. What should I do? starts with:
If it still won't update, the FAQ qoes on with "Manual Update" instruction - yes, I know that you are fed up with that, I am merely trying to assist

Open the 'Web Update' menu in Ad-Aware 2007.
Click the 'Update' button to connect to the update server and click 'Yes' to download the definitions updates.
