Hi,

I've run through the usual process of scanning for spy/mal ware using both SpyBot and AdAware to no avail. The hijacked I seem to have was aquired yesterday evening, apparently from just accessing a forum (which has been done daily for months now) and only seems to redirect attempts to connect to "www.webkinz.com". I've attached a HijackThis log, hopefully someone here can offer some insight.

This is also happening to me!!! Like you, I've also run SpyBot and AdAware to no avail. I'm afraid to touch the registry. My daughter is driving me nuts to play, we just signed up a couple of days ago. This is the only hijacked website. The others are fine. Good luck.

I'm having the same problem. Webkinz redirects to should.com. This just started yesterday.

I experienced the same problem and a friend had me do this and it fixed it.

Go to your start menu and click Run...
type cmd in the prompt and press enter.
a dos prompt will come up, and you should type: ipconfig/flushdns

This clears the dns registry. My friend thinks this was caused by the redesign of their website and they may have changed the IP address number.

Well this worked for me, it is a hack, but my kids have continued to play...

Using notepad open the file C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers\etc\hosts

Add the following line to the bottom of the file:

66.48.69.100 www.webkinz.com

save and close the file, browse to www.webkinz.com, so far I have not had to add any of the other IPs that webkinz hits, good luck!

The ip config flush did not work for me either. I am running Vista, which I am beginning to hate. I will try the "hack" that you posted klroahs.

Also, strange things have been going on for the past month with accessing Webkinz...Up until Tuesday night when the redirect started, I couldn't log in anyway...there was a huge brown spot over where you click to go in. To go along with that, some websites wouldn't allow me to click buttons like "submit" or "search". Anyone having other issues with this redirect? Or does someone know what my problem is? I have run Spybot, Adaware, Windows Defender, Hijack this, and AVG on it to no avail.

I am sorry the ipconfig didn't work. I forgot to mention that I also cleared my cache in Internet Explorer and deleted Webkinz from my favorites, then typed the address in manually. Additionally, I e-mailed the parent company, Ganz, and here is the reply I received today:
