Well I upgraded my SE to 2007 on my Vista 64 and now it does not work anymore. It stops by "Prepairing GUID Scanning" and nothing more happens.

I have 3 Vista machines 2 64 bit and one 32 bit, the 32 bit works fine but both the 64 have the same problem.

What to do???

Hi Peder,

Please see this Topic in the Announcements section of the forum: Vista Compatible?

... However, we’ve just recently discovered a technical glitch required for Ad-Aware 2007 to fully operate with Vista, and in order to meet the launch date that we committed for our worldwide customers and to completely comply with Microsoft’s requirements for the Vista program, the product will not be Vista compatible immediately when launched in June.

The 32-bit compatible version is due for release shortly, with 64-bit support later in the year. Free upgrades will be available as they are released.

As with your 32-bit machine, AAW 2007 seems to work on some systems despite not yet being officially compatible. There have been reports that users experiencing difficulties with 32-bit, managed to get AAW 2007 working by switching to Classic (ie: by turning Aero off for the duration of the scan) - have you tried this? (Just a suggestion - still using XP, myself).

Regards,

Spike
