Full Version: Problems Receiving Validation Message

Matthias Rebbe
Hi,

i´ve registered the forum, but did not receive vailidation email.

So i registered again with an gmail account and validation email came.

So i asked my isp provider which is responsible for the emailadress i used for the first registration.

They checked their logfiles and told me, that the sender adress, which lavasoft is using for their validation emails,
could not be verified by the antispam system of my isp.

Here´s some information from the logfile:

2007-07-26 10:34:47 H=www.lavasoftsupport.com [82.99.19.202] sender verify
fail for <admin@lavasoftsupport.com>: all relevant MX records point
to non-existent hosts
2007-07-26 10:34:47 H=www.lavasoftsupport.com [82.99.19.202]
F=<admin@lavasoftsupport.com> rejected RCPT <deleted for security reasons>:
Sender verify failed

And the nslookup on a german dns showed me the following:

lavasoftsupport.com MX (Mail Exchanger) Priority: 10 amon.lavsoft.com
lavasoftsupport.com A (Address) 213.115.201.33
lavasoftsupport.com NS (Nameserver) custns1.bredband.com
lavasoftsupport.com NS (Nameserver) ns1.lavasoft.com

As you can see, the mx for your senderadress is amon.lavsoft.com.
Shouldn´t it be amon.lavasoft.com ??

All the best,

Matthias Rebbe

Welcome to the Lavasoft Support Forum

If you are not getting replies to support center requests, it could be that your ISP is blocking our email (which you already have stated). We have had a number of cases where we cannot get a reply out because the customer's ISP block the email as spam or other.

Try using a different email address using the Support page at the bottom to *Update your email address* and follow the instruction.
Those with a paid subscription to Ad-Aware who have changed e-mail addresses since purchasing the product, please fill out this form.

Wow this is a really late reply, Matthias if you are still around please post back. I'm curious as to who your ISP is.

I just did a dig on lavasoft.com in MX and got back the correct info.

CODE
;; ANSWER SECTION:
lavasoft.com. 60 IN MX 10 amon.lavasoft.com.

;; AUTHORITY SECTION:
lavasoft.com. 3645 IN NS ns2.lavasoft.com.
lavasoft.com. 3645 IN NS custns1.bredband.com.
lavasoft.com. 3645 IN NS custns2.bredband.com.
lavasoft.com. 3645 IN NS ns1.lavasoft.com.

Did the same for lavasoftsupport.com and got back the same results.

Hope you are still around and we can resolve this issue.
