First thing I did was search the forums.

I did this: WindowsXP-Windows2000-Script56-KB917344-x86-enu.exe

rebooted and got Error 1720.

I did this: regsvr32 vbscript.dll

rebooted and got Error 1720.

Naturally I tried a clean install, and after reboot upon reboot using the Remove, then the Repair, then Repair and Remove, continued to get Error 1720.

Now. I'm perfectly happy to nuke all of the files it spread around (I have the tools to erase hidden, system, and otherwise protected files, if it comes to that), and delete or modify whatever registry entries it made, but to do that I require a comprehensive list of ALL files and reg entries AdAware 2007 (the latest version as of 25-July-07) added to my system. If some nice Admin or Moderator would give me a heads up about where to find them then all I'll do is to caution people interested in AdAware to set a Restore Point before installing, just in case, otherwise, well, I have about five tons of slag just sitting here waiting to be spread around willy-nilly...
