Had to install "new " drive with win 98se . When I try to install SE I get an message that MSIEXEC has failed to load. I have downloaded all available Updates to Win 98, and have all other programs shut down.

I had SE installed on the previous drive and it worked okay.

I'm not a Windows expert but your problem sounds like it may be related to the MSI installer from Microsoft - please see this FAQ (it is for AAW 2007, but may equally relate to AAW SE): How do I resolve the "Error 1722" problem?
