I have adaware SE and am trying to go to 2007.
All the instructions I have read say 'uninstall SE first'. So I use the add/remove programs in control panel, the computer says SE was uninstalled. Then when I look in programs SE is not there. However, clicking on a shortcut which still exists SE runs as before.
How do I get rid of Adaware SE plus and Adwatch.
I did download 2007 and install, this runs as I would expect but when I try to register with the key Lavasoft has sent me as part of the upgrade procedure I get 'not a valid key'

please delete all files ( logfiles too ) hidden files incl. manually.
You can find them in the application data. Or, perhaps it's easier, run a scan with your system browser ( search ).
At last restart your system.
