Like niciha, after running a scan that produces either critical objects or negligible objects, and checking said objects, AdAware asks if I want to delete them. When I click yes, the message "deleting objects" appears, and freezes. The Windows task manager shows ad aware as not responding. Windows error reporting returns a message that the error is Lavasoft's.

I am using the free version, and last updated definitions on July 16, 2007 -- SE1R181. The scan after that was the first to freeze. The home page shows the last scan as July 15, 2007, although I have scanned on the 16th, 17th, and 18th.

After freezing at delete removing one "critical object" tracking cookie, I ran a second scan and AA found no critical objects.

I operate on Windows XP Home, version 2002, SPack 2. I run SpySweeper 5.5.1 3356, and Zone Alarm Free 7.0.337.000

Please advise. If these objects are still in the computer, how do I find them to delete them?

Is there a way to fix the freezing, or determine which update of the 15 listed is the culprit?

Hello??? Anyone ??? What can I do to fix AdAware so that it scans, deletes, and does not freeze??

I know there are a few people waiting for an official answer on this one. It seems very strange that if there is a problem with the latest definitions, there are not hundreds of posts on these forums about it, and no reply from Lavasoft yet.
