I have been using Ad-Aware SE for about one year without any problems. Since about 1 week it will not update! Whenever I prompt the system to check for new updates it tells me "error retrieving update". Why is this happening and how can I fix it?

The latest version of Ad-Aware 2007 also takes care of that issue. Is there some reason you are still using SE?

Thanks for your reply. There is no specifc reason why I am using SE other than a friend of mine installed it for me when I got my computer and I haven't had any problems with it. Another friend is still using it today and just finished a successful Web Update. There has got to be a reason why for some of us this program doesn't do what it did before - Download a Web-Update!! What could possibly cause this to happen I wonder? What is the difference between SE and 2007 anyway? - other than the 2007 being a later version obviously!

I missed seeing your reply here.

Ad-Aware SE will be supported only until the end of this year so be sure that you think about switching to the 2007 version by then (or else it won't update at all).
