I'll be the first to admit that I'm getting older and dumber, but I have been frustrated from the getgo with Ad-Aware 2007 and Ad-Watch. After the initial shock of discovering incompatability with Vista, and extremely long response delays from Lavasoft support, I finally was able to get the app installed and registered on an alternate XP system. I have a couple of other minor beefs with how Lavasoft uses processes that only seem to get in the way, and frustrate the user, but I'll leave those for another time.
Now that I finally have it running, I'm totally baffled with Ad-Watch. It runs, occasionally flashes its shield, and when I click on it, it shows some count of Regshield events since the last system boot, but beyond that, I don't see anything that resembles a Help screen, or any accessible logs that might explain what it is doing. I've scrolled through this forum, but what I see there doesn't really match what I am looking at in the program. Is there any primer or other help that I can pull down to understand this thing? I don't want to waste anyone's time trying to walk me through it step by step. If not, I'm really close to just uninstalling it, and moving on, even though I've already spent my money.
