I was looking for a solution to a cpvfeed infection days ago, I was directed to your forum, and I noticed many people beeing infected.
After solving the problem I decided to post my own solution, two days after my two posts are gone, deleted, or what else?
Is only the support team allowed in givin' solution?
Or is this forum intended to guide people on buyin' Lavasoft software to solve their problem?
As my method solved the problem using freeware software could be "harmful" for your forum?
Thank for any reply.
Simon.

The above is the only post you have made.

Any deleted posts automatically go into a trash bin area that only I clean out after 30 days and there is nothing in there from you.

We have a number of Volunteer Security Advisors that help with difficult infections and they usually have perfected those hard to remove down to a freeware tool or solution. None of them use paid solutions and have the exertise to help with any number of tools available. They are welcome to use any tool they deem necessary, however, any "homegrown" solutions that do not follow prudent procedure or known tools for a particular infection are best left to them to decide what works best in a particular situation. They themselves will remove any complicated unnecessary posts that inferere with known methods. Those go automatically into the trashbin and, again, yours are not in there so I imagine the post you think you made did not get posted.

Ad-Aware does have a completely free scanner with removal capabilities same as the paid version. If that doesn't work on hard-to-remove infections, we also use other tools. Nobody is shoving anything down anyone's throat here smile.gif

Thanks for your reply.
I wonder if I am stupid or what if "the post I think I made did not get posted", as you are so confident that my posts were not deleted.
Could be a suggestion that users should receive a notification when any their posts are deleted?
I'll let your Volunteer Security Advisors to solve people's problems.
Good luck.
Simon.

Hello Simon,

Nobody is implying you are stupid. Any number of reasons a post may not "take" - either due to temporary glitch in the forum software or as I have had happen on numerous occasions, when using the "preview" screen to review your post if you somehow get distracted and exit without pressing the "reply" button, it may not post.

I can simply tell you that I alone review all posts that are deleted and sitting in the Trash can area and they remain there for 30 days just in case one is deleted by mistake or is needed to retrieve. All deleted posts go in there by default.
