Full Version: Can't Get The Quarantine Feature To Work

Lonesome2
Hi, I am new here and need some advice. I really liked the 1.06 version which was on my better half's computer and I did not realize there was a new version until I bought this notebook and went to install the program and was shocked at its new look.

My new notebook is xpsp2 home, acer travelmate 2480, 1.73 ghz, celeron ma processor 430, 1MB L2 cache, 533 mhz FSB, 512 MB DDR2 SDRAM,80 gig HD,

I have done a couple of scans with this new program and really can't understand when I click on the option to Quarantine, nothing allows me to do this. So I have had to Remove the culprits and sometimes I forget to do a Restore Point.
I prefer to Quarantine.

Does anyone know why this does not work for me????

Also I like the user friendliness of the 1.06 and so I have 2 other questions.

1. I uninstalled the 1.06 off the better half's computer foolishly and she wants it back on there and to rid of this new version, how or can I do that.
When I did the uninstall on hers, I used add/remove and then a Reg clean and installed the new program.
Her Quarantine feature will not work either.
So how can I get her notebook back to 1.06

2. And how do I rid of this new version on mine, do the add/remove and Reg clean and where can I find the 1.06 version.

I hope that someone out there can help.
Thankyou for your time.

I guess there is no tutorial on this new version yet either????
It seems a shame to rid of it and soon there will be no updates for 1.06, but I feel more comfortable using that version.

I again would appreciate comments, thx!

Presuming that you were using the Personal (free) version of Ad-Aware SE 1.06, please see my post in this Topic: Ad-aware Se Or 2007 For Windows 98 Se
