Full Version: Ad-aware 6.0 Plus Build 6.181 Cannot Update

I purchased Ad-aware 6.0 Plus about two years ago. I recently had to wipe the hard drive on the PC and re-install all apps, including Ad-aware Plus, but now I cannot updgrade. Is there any way I can upgrade this old copy of Ad-aware, which gives me the enhanced features of Ad-aware Plus that I purchased?

When I attempt to update, it gets to 5% and fails. Thanks for any and all help.

1. Was your Ad-Aware plus version a 2-year maintenance license?

2. Are you upgrading from Ad-Aware SE to the new Ad-Aware 2007 version? Or are you just wanting to re-install the Ad-Aware SE Plus that you had before? If you are trying to install the Ad-Aware Plus SE version, you should have either saved a copy of the installation file or purchased an option for additional downloads beyond the 30 day period after you first purchased your copy (if you used our online sales center at Element5). If you purchased your Ad-Aware from a retail outlet, the procedure may be different.

Also please note for existing Ad-Aware Plus and Pro users, the following notice in the Support Center regarding the free upgrade to the new version Ad-Aware 2007

I purchased the lifetime upgrades, have my Element 5 receipt, and have written to your support twice with no response.
All the passwords I have do not work to log into support and it says both my email addresses are unrecognized.
Can you tell me why. I even sent in the 2nd email my Invoice number. Can someone answer this?

Hi Catman51 - Wow, you must have one of those really old lifetime subscriptions. I can't say why your emails to support were not answered or why your passwords don't work, but I will send you a PM with the correct email address to reach the Support Team. I imagine they are pretty well jammed up with support requests at the moment due to the questions our paid users have regarding the new version, so please be patient if it take a little longer than usual to get a response.

Some of our older paid customers passwords and info got jumbled in the move to in-house support but I am only guessing as to the why there was a problem.
