I was using a site today, it hadn't given me any problems until today when it began spamming me with popups. After I was done with the site, I ran an AdAware scan and something new came up- something called "Winpop"; I've never seen that before. Finished the scan and deleted it, restarted the comp and did a few more scans, but it didn't reappear in the scans. However, I was still getting popups about every other time I opened my browser. I'd noticed that the "Winpop" thing was located in my Program Files so I looked there. There were a couple suspicious folders there. The ads are coming from something called "Outerinfo", which there was a folder for that, so I deleted it immediately. However I'm STILL getting popups. From a site called "ads.oinadserver.com"?? There's a folder in my Program Files still for Winpop and "InetGet2". Thought I'd ask for info/help before I go deleting those. Do you need to see a HijackThis log as well? Please help!!
1. Download this file - combofix.exe
2. Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.

Nothing by those names or anything similar/related were listed in the Add/Remove Programs. There was one for Outerinfo, however, but it could not be removed/uninstalled, saying it may have already been removed. (Crap! Must've been when I deleted the Outerinfo folder when I first noticed it!) There's also a dead shortcut to it in my Start>All Programs menu, too.

Your Java Runtime Environment is out of date. Older versions have vulnerabilities that malware can use to infect your system. Please follow these steps to remove older version Java components and update.
Updating Java:
* Please open hijackthis and put a check next to the following:
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Jejy] C:\WINDOWS\??mantec\e?plorer.exe
O4 - Startup: PowerReg Scheduler V3.exe
* After you check the items you want to fix, close all browsers and windows, except for HijackThis, then click on the Fix Checked button on HijackThis.
* After that, reboot and tell me how everything is working.
Updating Java:
- Download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6u1.
- Scroll down to where it says "Java Runtime Enviroinment (JRE) 6u1, The Java SE Runtime Environment (JRE) allows end-users to run Java applications".
- Click the "Download" button to the right.
- Check the box that says: "Accept License Agreement".
- The page will refresh.
- Click on the link to download Windows Offline Installation, Multi-language and save it to your desktop (13.16 MB).
- Close any programs you may have running - especially any web browsers.
- Go to Start > Control Panel double-click on Add/Remove programs and remove all older versions of Java.
- Check any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE or J2SE) in the name.
- Click the Remove or Change/Remove button.
- Repeat as many times as necessary to remove each Java versions.
- Reboot your computer once all Java components are removed.
- Then from your desktop double-click on jre-6u1-windows-i586-p.exe to install the newest version.
