Hi everyone. I am using windows xp sp2. I have downloaded adaware 2007 free edition and tried to install it but I get the error message error 1722 and it terminates the installation. never had any problems with adaware before ( I am using the free SE edition and have no problems. I have never received this error message before and do not know what to do to correct it so I can install this new version. Thanks, van

I get the same 1722 error when installing this new version. I have same config as you on three of my Dell Poweredge 400sc boxes. It installed fine on two of them, but the third one repeatedly fails with the 1722 install termination error. I have no friggin ideas on how to get support from Lavasoft on this problem either. Pete Mattingly in San Pedro Calif.

I don't know if this will help but having upgraded also from the 'free' older version to the new, I downloaded and then let the install programme auto uninstall the old version for me. Everything from here on in went sweetly for me.
