AW 2007 Pro (rev 7.0.1.3 - updated) fails with the error message (see image). However, AW 1.06r1 works just fine. I tried running AW 2007 as admin and as XP SP2 compatible mode with no success. The problem occurs after the smart scan.

Hi Flashfox, welcome to the Lavasoft Support Forums.

The reason you are getting the TVirtualStrinTree Error is because Ad-Aware 2007 is not Vista compatible yet.
See HERE --> http://www.lavasoftsupport.com/index.php?showtopic=8684

I would advise waiting until Certified for Windows Vista:

Thanks for the update. I had read that but somehow I " understood" that the current version was supposed to be Vista compatible (7.0.1.3/4). In any event, I will continue to use the old version (pre-2007) until I see that a Vista compatible version has been released. It's odd that v 1.06r1 works with Vista while "2007" doesn't. The must have made MAJOR changes in the code ;-)
