For some reason, whether it be in safe mode, normal mode, quick scan, normal scan, or any possible way of scanning, Adaware SE freezes after it gets to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\.."
Is this normal, or does it mean that there is a virus in that location? Thanks in advance! -EMDF |

Did you unstall the old version and reinstall the new program.. that works on me.. that could fix the problem if not I think there could be something that got into the system and it may cause the hang up .. Icould be wrong but try that out first.. if that does not work. you probley needed to get a register fixer like Norton or a pay registar fixer that is a good programer that can fix problems that is causeing the hang up or a freezes that makes your programs.. but like I say before I could be wrong..

Hi El Mono De Feo,
There are a number of reasons for scans to "freeze" - please see my post in this thread for a list of suggested fixes: conditional scans? pc gets stuck on those Let us know how you get on Regards, Spike |

My ad-aware se always would freeze at the same file on full scan as well even after disk defragmentations checks etc. I never could complete a full scan until I followed this link http://safety.live.com/site/en-US/default.htm did a full service scan [complete] and had it fix all of the errors it found. Ad-aware finally works, I hope this helps!
