Ad-Aware for Windows 7

After many many hours trying to figure out why Ad-Aware wasn't working. I discovered the AAWService executable is not compatible no matter what settings you use; which is needed to run the software.

What worked for me: Downloaded Ad-Aware SE Personal 1.06r1 really old version and installed that. Then installed the latest version after. Everything works!!!

That's odd - normally installing a new version on top of an old one causes problems. Did you uninstall SE afterwards or is it necessary to keep it? Funny thing is, SE was never developed Win 7 compatible.
