Hi,

Try using the 3rd party uninstaller, Revo, and choose the advanced mode.

This should solve your problem and then you will be able to install 2008. Let me know how you get on,

Casey

Hi Casey, well I used the Revo and it got rid of the 2007 Ad-Aware but now I can't get the 2008 version to download! here's what I get when I try.....The Windows Installer could not be accessed
This can occur if you are running Windows in safe mode,or if the Windows Installer is not correctlt installed. Contact your support personnel for assitance.

What did I do wrong????

Hi,

download the newest version of Windows Installer from here.

Then download a fresh copy of the ad-aware installer (here) and try to install that.

Let me know how you get on,

Casey
