I have tried to remove Adaware SE but am unable to do so through the Add/Remove Programs in Windows XP. I keep getting a crash report which I send to LavaSoft.
Does anyone have any ideas? I have downloaded Adaware 2008 and can't get it to open or run. Are the two programs conflicting perhaps? |

Welcome
>download and install Wicu ( Windows Install Clean-up Utility / Freeware by MS) >uninstall AAW2008 >click 'My Computer' and navigate to your Ad-Aware SE folder and run the 'unregaaw.exe' >delete the entire SE folder >delete the SE link in your Startmenu (if present) >delete the SE desktop icon ( if present >run Wicu and delete all AAW references >navigate to Documents and Settings/All Users/Application Data/Lavasoft and delete the entire Lavasoft folder >Start/Run - type 'cleanmgr' - drive 'C' ok - tag 'temporary files/temporary internet files/ recycle bin and fire it up. REBOOT > run a windows search for all AAW traces and delete them manually (if present reboot again ) start a fresh dl and inst. of AAW2008 Hope this helps.
