I have windows adaware se pro and Maybe I missed somthing but I did the manual update and am wondering if theres another file I have to change to get auto updates to work. Im assuming the programs smart enough to tell more than it tells me with the 5% thing. Id update to 2007 but of course the box aparenly has no key on it that would allow me to register sice lavasoft no longer has my account probably since I havent accessed it in so long. I think the disk automaticly put in a cd code when I installed and at risk of finding that not to be the fact ,I dare not attempt.

any ideas appreciated. huh.gif

OK - As I said here, "However, once a 'pooter fails to pick-up an auto-update, that's it! Updating to the latest defs and then trying an auto doesn't help."

I did read earlier today here, LS Digger Barnes mention ISP issues. I don't believe it myself, as two of my PC's update fine, and the third doesn't - and that's all via the same ISP (Virgin Media). However, maybe try his suggestion about re-installing SE with the alleged "patch" and let us know how you get on?

Hope that this helps?

Gelert.

Hi Coolbiker,

Hopefully you've read through this thread already and tried the above links?

If you haven't, try them!

BUT - you will need your original Registration Info to access a fresh SE PROGRAM download, as suggested by LS Digger Barnes.

Good Luck.
