Hey there......
we got the same error message when trying to run a scan on the free ad aware. anyone have any answers? when we get the error message...it stops the scan. we ran the scan because we have a popup that keeps telling us we have worm 32 and trying to sell us antispyware and program to fix it. anyone know how to get rid of this if your adaware doesn't work?

Fyreman,

It sounds like your computer is infected with malware that is blocking Ad-Aware. For assistance, you'll need to follow the directions here:
http://www.lavasoftsupport.com/index.php?showtopic=13639

Skip the Ad-Aware scan part (since we know that is being blocked) and go to the second step to post a HijackThis log for review. And please do that in a new topic so one of our volunteer Malware specialists can assist you with removal
