I recently purchased McAfee Total Protection and I had Lavasoft Ad-Aware SE Personal on my laptop which I am trying to uninstall. I tried all the options that were given in the support forum.

My 1st option was trying to locate the "unwise.exe" and run it.
And the 2nd was to locate the "unregaaw.exe" and run it.

Somehow both these files are not visible if I look into the folder, but when I perform a search, I find them and when I try to run these, NOTHINg happens...

What might the issue be... I am going crazy... I need to uninstall the Adware SE personal for installing any product from McAfee.... Please help!! All the traditional versions of un-installing have failed for me...

In your Search results, where exactly are the "unwise.exe" and "unregaaw.exe" appearing (ie: which folder) ? And are they appearing with their full names ?
