Today I upgraded to AdAware SE Plus Build 1.06r1 . For years Ad-Aware has been working flawlessly every time I used it. After installing the PAID version so I could have Ad-Watch each time during a scan it freezes at 102582 files. Ad-Aware didn't have any problems, why should the new version? I checked all the FAQ's and noticed there were some fixes having to go into the registry. A new program should not need the operator to make registry changes so the software will work.
Computer: Toshiba 1805
Operating system: WinXP SP-2
HD: 60GB
Ram: 512Mb
I am using Spybot S&D, Windows Defender & Norton Internet Security.
Ad-Watch freezes

Hi ,
Apologies for the late reply, we've been quite swamped in here as you can probably see.
Are you still needing help?
There are quite a few remedies posted in the FAQ here:
http://www.lavasofts...hp?showforum=82
Could let us know which of those you have tried?
Also, I don't recall any that require a registry edit. Can you point us to where you saw that?
