I installed Adaware, I think a few months ago, and forgot to deselect Toolbar.  At the time, I removed adaware, and I thought Lavasoft toolbar.  I just tried clicking Googel chrome, and guess what came up?  Lavasoft Toolbar!!!!!!

I have no signs of Adaware or Lavasoft in Control Panel or "manage search engines" on Firefox.  I found an entry in Programs Files(86), for Lavasoft, but it was empty.

How can I get rid of this program, hopefully by not having to hire a PC Geek?

Hi,

It should have been uninstalled when you uninstalled all three programs starting with "Ad-Aware" in Control Panel, but if Google Chrome was running during the uninstallation it might have failed.

Please, see the https://support.goog...e/answer/187443 page for how to uninstall/disable extensions, as toolbars, in Google Chrome, and the Chrome part on the http://www.lavasofts...d-search-engine page for changing start page and search engine if necessary.
