I uninstalled ad-aware (thank god it worked) and safe search is still popping up at startup of chrome. please advise how i remove this garbage.

Hi,

Is Ad-Aware Browsing Protection still uninstalled? If yes, please uninstall it.

If you mean that you see it as a start page in Google Chrome, please try to change start page.

Cecelia, I uninstalled Ad-aware completely to where I can't even locate the program in the uninstall program tool in the control panel. However, whenever I start up chrome, a second tab opens up with ad-aware safe search. How do i make sure that doesnt happen going forward?

I'm not familiar with Chrome, but I'm pretty sure that there is a setting for start pages. See http://support.googl...en&answer=95314 the last item is about setting several pages. Can you remove the start page, you don't want to have?

Chrome settings are changed by clicking on the 'spanner' then select settings and go to 'Appearance'. There you can change your home settings.
