Hi !

Ad-Aware 10.2.21.3698:

There is no "Custom Scan"-option available when scheduling a scan ?

Hi hackerman1,

That's right. I don't know why Lavasoft has taken that decision.

Please add suggestions for future versions to http://www.lavasofts...in-ad-aware-10/ since that topic is monitored by Lavasoft staff.

Hi !

Hmmm, thats weird...
Because the F.A.Q. says:
"Setting the Scan my computer with the following schedule option enables you to specify the scheduling parameters listed below:
- Frequency period to scan computer (Daily, Weekly, and Monthly)

- Scan type (Quick, Full, and Custom)

- Scan time
"
http://www.lavasoft....53&category=230

Anyway, if there is no option to select a "Custom-Scan" when scheduling a scan, then it makes Ad-Aware useless.
The "Full-Scan" has no option to deselect fx. "All-drives" which means that it would take a very long time to scan drives that do not need to be scanned.
I´m using a "Linuxstyle-setup" with separate partitions for System (O/S), Programs & Media (audio, video, documents & filearchive).
So i don´t want to scan those other partitions, just the system.

I´m going to post about it in the other thread that you mentioned.

ps. CeciliaB: är du också svensk ?
läste det i nån tråd...
var finns du ?
själv sitter jag i Karlstad.
ds.

Hej!

I would say it's an error in the FAQ and in the manual. Maybe they planned for it but it was removed for some reason.

I suggest that you schedule a Quick scan, which makes a great scan of the system, and if something is found in it (except cookies) you perform a full or custom scan.

PS. Japp, jag finns i Stockholm :)
