I'm trying to get help to remove trojans discovered by Ad Aware which the program discovers but is unable to remove.

I'm running Windows Server 2003 and unable to run the DDS tool. Please advise how to proceed to get help.

Hi rshamie,

Which version of Ad-Aware are you using?
Which files are detected by Ad-Aware and in which folders are the files located?

I'm using Adaware Free. Tried to restore to an earlier image in the hopes that the virus was obtained after the date of my last back up but no luck. After restore, Symantec is finding "lib32wapr.exe" and a24.exe. Symantec is unable to remove and I'm unable to use any of the dos utilities because they dont support windows server 2003. Please help. The files are discovered in the c:\windows\system32 directory.

Are you using Ad-Aware version 10 or version 9.6?

I have no idea what tools can be used in Windows Server. Windows Server xxxx are usually used in companies and companies are always recommended to reinstall the computer since that it is the only fully safe way to know that nothing is left. Companies usually don't want to have logs displaying domain information spread on the internet and the tools that we use are not developed for computers that are parts of domains and can destroy configurations.
