Do you have any other antivirus or security program installed?
Does UMPlayer start a video when you start the program?
Is it possible to find which feature in Ad-Aware that is responsible for the problem, by turning off one feature at a time?
Do you really have only XP Service Pack 2 installed? Windows then misses a lot of updates and is very easy to infect.

I do NOT use Lavasoft Ad-Aware and do NOT work for Lavasoft. I just monitor the Forum from time to time.

I have only ad-aware 10.1 and zone alarm firewall.
ad-aware 10.1 hungs UMplayer first time I have to use task manager to stop running umplayer process if i again run umplayer it runs fine.
Its Ad-aware 10 real time protection.
Yes I have SP2 I know i misses lot of updates but I don't have SP3 installer even Microsoft has ended support for Win xp.

Microsoft is still supporting XP with SP3 and you can download SP3 from http://www.microsoft...ails.aspx?id=24
You have to change language, if you haven't an English XP.

As I said, you can download SP3 from that link. You don't need to use Windows Update.
I solved this problem by unchecking .ini configuration file in real time protection.UMplayer keeps your video settings in .ini files now i am facing no hangs.

Check that you have the latest version of Google Chrome, 23.0.1271.64.
Do you mean Flash Player or Shockwave Player?
I suggest that you uninstall the player, restart and install the latest version.
The instructions for uninstalling Flash Player: http://helpx.adobe.c...er-windows.html
Latest version of Flash Player:http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
Shockwave Player uninstallation program: http://www.adobe.com.../alternates/#sp
Latest version of Shockwave Player: http://get.adobe.com/shockwave/
If that didn't help, please answer these question.
Which Windows version do you have, including 32 or 64 bits?
Which Ad-Aware version do you have, is it Ad-Aware 10.3 Free Antivirus+ or something else?
When did you install that version?
Do you have the Ad-Aware toolbar installed and/or other toolbars?
What antivirus program did you have before that installation?
When did the current problem start?
Do you have another antivirus program or similar program installed?
