I am actually very upset about the new Lavasoft (adware 10.x) because i can't use it with my virus scanner i pay for. I use trendmicro's Viruscanner.. When ever i install the Adware 10+ it crashs my computers, makes it unbootable even in safe mode. I run windows 7 64bit. w/Dual Core 2.66 Processors. It locks the system up so bad and wont ever boot except to the blue screen of death. I used to love lavasoft and always told all my clients about it. I wont be using it anymore till the virus scanner is removed or made to be comp with other virus scanners.

Hi cobra3282000,
Also Ad-Aware 9 contains an antivirus part. Ad-Aware 10 has full real-time protection while Ad-Aware 9 Free only has a limited real-time protection, which usually works together with other antivirus programs. Even if LS Digger Barnes' explanation about possible conflicts with other security programs in the post http://www.lavasofts...ndpost&p=125582 is written for Ad-Aware 9 Pro, the principle is still the same. A more technical explanation is written in http://www.lavasofts...post__p__136994 by LS Andy.
For the future see the post http://www.lavasofts...post__p__137027 by LS Andy.
It is still possible to use Ad-Aware 9.6, which can be downloaded from FileHippo.
