Hi Cecilia,
it is still supported version 9.6? I can not download the latest definition file update. Can you tell me a link to direct download definition file? Thank you!

Hi count,

As far as I know version 9.6 is still supported. It is not possible to download definitions files manually. I'll ask my contact person at Lavasoft if there is a problem with the update server.

Dear Cecilia,
thanks for the reply. Today, the download works again (version definition file 150.907), but the last four files were not downloaded. (Pity that you can not download files manually, in an emergency it was useful ...).

Dear count,

You're welcome :)

Great that the downloads work again. Maybe my contact person yelled to the right person ;)

I have not been able to update definition files in the past week. I have tried this on 2 computers and neither will update. As soon as you press update button it gives a message that definitions are up to date.

On one compute I reinstalled 9.6 and have not been able to update at all.

I have the same problem, the update (9.6) is stopped at the first November. Due to the fact that the new version 10 can not be used with other antivirus (eg. Avast), I have to use this old version. What to do? Thanks for the advice!

Hi all,

We are supporting updates for 9.x versions of Ad-Aware for the time being. The updates will continue at a rate of several per week, but I would strongly urge you to upgrade Ad-Aware to the latest version.

If you are waiting for an "on demand" or "scan only" version that will not conflct with your primary antivirus, your wait is almost over. Ad-Aware 10.4 is on the verge of release (before the end of November). Please be sure to upgrade to this version as soon as it becomes available.

Regards,

Andy

If this is still being supported (9.6) is their a problem with the update server, no new updates are downloading since 11/1?

Not quite.... "Overall progress" at Update Manager screen shows no progress after getting the "core.aawdef.file size 5110kb".
Now my "Last Update Details" shows "11/07/12 0001.0000" instead of "151.3" mentioned at http://www.lavasoft....for-adaware-769.

Both my computers updated to the 151.003. The process was a little slower than usual. The file was larger than normal and I imagine the server was being heavily used since this appears to be the first update since Nov 01.

Yes, it was much more traffic than usual for the servers.
