I updated my adware antivirus (10.1.211.3382) last night and ever since then my computer has been running sooooo slowwww to the point that I just shut it off because it's just not worth it. Is this a bug? And is it going to get fixed? Because as soon as my comp will let me do something I'm uninstalling it I'll reinstall it after it gets fixed

Hi Melissa82686,

Did you mean that Ad-Aware was updating the threat definitions or that you upgraded from one version of Ad-Aware to another version?
In the latter case, please specify which Ad-Aware version and type you had before.
Do you have another antivirus program installed?

I believe it updated the definitions

If it was a common problem with the definition update, I think there would be many persons complaining in the forum today. It is also very difficult for changed definitions to slow down the computer.

Did the user interface of Ad-Aware look the same after the update as it has done before?

Since 9th of July there had been no definition updates via AdAware and on the definition files page http://www.lavasoft....ritycenter/blog

Is this a known problem?

Hi stophis,

My Ad-Aware 10 updated its definitions two hours ago and the threat definition version is now 12225.
I'll ask my contact person at Lavasoft about the web page.

Sorry, I forgot to write that I still use AdAware 9.6.

Ok, this is the forum for Ad-Aware 10. One other person has reported that Ad-Aware 9.6 isn't updating: http://www.lavasofts...on-file-update/
Let us see if I can get an answer from my contact person during the day.

The problem seems to be solved, one hour ago the update worked without problems.

Great that the downloads work again. Maybe my contact person yelled to the right person
