I use a small program called FingerPrint which uses Bonjour networking to allow all my printers on my network to be recognized as Apple AirPrint Printers. (Collobos Software http://www.collobos.com/)
This software has stopped working since installing 10.1. If I shut down the firewall in Ad-Aware, then FingerPrint will work. It quits as soon as I start it up again. I contacted FingerPrint and they said these are the ports that need to be opened in Ad-Aware but I can't get the Firewall to open these ports:

Make sure inbound and outbound traffic is permitted:
TCP 6631 is open and allowed for FingerPrint
UDP 5353 is open and allowed for Bonjour

Can someone help me get these ports configured in Ad-Aware?
Thank You

Hi Bigdog50,

You are welcome :)

I'm not using the firewall but have you tried to add a rule on the "Application rules" tab in the firewall settings that allows Bonjour and FingerPrint both inbound and outbound access in trusted zone?
Have you configured your local network as trusted on "Zones" tab?

Yes, I have made sure our network is in a trusted zone. The issue is there does not seem to be a way to open these two ports through the firewall. It seems the user interface and methodology for configuring ports does not allow for this type of configuration. Trying to make sure:
TCP 6631 is open and allowed for FingerPrint
UDP 5353 is open and allowed for Bonjour
I have disabled the Ad-Aware firewall and went back to using the windows firewall for now.
Maybe someone from Lavasoft can clarify the proper procedure to open these ports.

Have you read the manual?

Since you have bought the product, you can use the Lavasoft support instead of this forum with volunteers: http://lavasoft.com/...contact_support
