I'm so upset with this new version.

Ver 10 trial.

Windows Server 2003

Did a manual full scan. It showed 62 traces - 52 'threats'. I am an IT specialist, some of the tools I use always come up as threats (IP scanners etc.) I figured no big deal, I'll go through the list when done and exclude what I don't want quarantined and then will add those to the excluded scan list.

Well, never got the chance. The scan seemed to slow to a crawl, and I chose to canel it for now, figuring I'd go back later and try again when I have more time.

The darned program never put a thing in quarantine - it deleted (cleaned) my system of those files. Nothing in quarantine, nothing in any log that I can find that even tells my what was deleted. I have nothing to go by to try to recover. WTH?

Why would this program EVER delete without certification by someone that it should?

And what do I do now to find out what it deleted, and how the heck to get them back short of trying to restore the whole darn system?

I'm not impressed with this version at all at this point.

Hi schmidtrg,

Windows Server 2003 is not supported, see the list on http://www.lavasoft...._aware_free.php
It isn't even supported to run Ad-Aware 9 on Windows Server.

If you have bought the product, you can use the Lavasoft support instead of this forum with volunteers: http://lavasoft.com/...contact_support
