Hi all,

Thanks so much for your time. Ad-Aware has been a fantastic product for me and I really appreciate its contribution towards my safety. I would like some advice on a current issue of mine.

Yesterday, when I accessed some Chinese websites using Google Chrome, it never loaded the pages, showed a blank white browser page, and only attempted to download a 100meg test file from www.cachefly.com. My computer also felt slower than usual. I scanned using AVG and Ad-Aware. Ad-Aware found two instincts of malware.js.generic, quarantined them, and removed them.

Computer is still slow today and a new issue happened. When I am using Google Chrome and attempt to access facebook, it re-directs me to a blank white page with only the sentence "Welcome to nginx!" at the top (please see attached).

When I tried to post on AVG forums using my computer, it censors me on Mozilla by stating "405 Not allowed" and "nginx/0.6.32" on a large blank white page.

I searched on Google for other people who have this issue (there are quite a few of these cases in the last one week, it seems) and there is a variety of proposed solutions that are all different. Some places recommend cleaning out browser history (I did that, didn't solve issue), others recommend downloading additional anti-virus software that I have never heard of, and others recommend doing something with my registry (which I am not comfortable with and don't understand).

Can you please assist? Thanks! Attached diagnostic files Attach.txt and DDS.txt to this post

Hi,

Does this browser issue happen with Internet Explorer & Firefox too? Also, you should uninstall extra antivirus protection products. It's recommended to have one antivirus program installed only.

This happens only in Mozilla Firebox and Google Chrome. Both cannot access facebook and Firebox cannot even access Google.com. Internet Explorer does not have this problem.

I know, but I couldn't find any issues when scanning with AVG, so I also used Ad-Adware (and I found two malware named malware.js.generic with it).

Any ideas would be appreciate, thanks!

    Remember to re-enable them afterwards.

  • Click Yes to allow ComboFix to continue scanning for malware.

When the tool is finished, it will produce a report for you.
