I run a paid for version of Pro on a windows XP Pro machine and a free version on Windows 7. The nag screen on XP Pro has no visable buttons Just a white square with writing. The Windows 7 version has buttons. Remind me later (left Side) and a button that lets you go to a site to download (right side). Before I knew this I had to use CTRL ALT DEL and select the eGLSpashScreen in applications until i realised I only need click around the bottom left of the square to make it go away even though I could not see buttons. Not sure this is a fault but I would like it not to start up in the first place after a couple of days.
Unfortunately, unless Ad-aware run a version that does not conflict with other AV software - 9.6 doesn't - then I wont be going to 10. Surely they realise that this is why folks use their software rather than go down the AV route. There is a place in the market for a 9.6 version type of program.
On my XP Pro machine I run:
Bitdefender 2009 AV with realtime ( which will be supported for at least the next 2 years with definitions)
Ad-Aware Pro - with realtime on
Malwarebytes with the protection module on
WinPatrolPlus
They all run together.
