I installed the free offer of Ad Aware and my internet worked fine. Then after uninstalling it, because I didn't want to pay for the upgrade. My computer will connect to my router, but will not access the internet.
Please advise.

Hi gbnoethen,
To start with I suggest that you install Ad-Aware again to get the internet back.
How did you uninstall Ad-Aware? Did you do as suggested in Lavasoft's FAQ?
http://www.lavasoft....t=653&category=
Specially the first line before "Option 1".
Do you have another antivirus or similar program installed?
Note, that Ad-Aware 10 has a free version, just as version 9.
Edit:
Doing a system restore to a point before the Ad-Aware installation, usually solves these types of problems.

Thank you for replying to my question.
No I didn't follow instructions to uninstall, I just used windows 7 control panel, uninstall.
I had loaded the toolbar also. I uninstalled this program because I read and re read your email to me about "free" Ad-aware. Wasn't aware it was a trial.
So I just uninstalled it. I have AVast as my antivirus. Just FYI, when I start my computer now after the uninstall, I get a brief windows cmd. window pop up that wasn't there before. So I guess my problem is in my registry entries AdAware made.
I will system restore, to a prior point, then go from there. If all works fine, I consider it resolved, if not, I'll try reinstalling your program and then following your instructions for uninstall, I do really appriciate your getting back to me on this.
Because of your quick response and help, I am considering reinstalling and paying for your services. This is the kind of service and company I want to do business with.
Thank you again.

You are welcome, gbnoethen
Ad-Aware 10 is not supposed to be run together with another antivirus program, since it is a complete antivirus and antimalware program. You should uninstall Avast, including using their special removal program, before installing Ad-Aware.

Ad-Aware 10 Free Antivirus+ is free to use, but when you install it you will get a 30 day trial period of Ad-Aware 10 Pro Security with more features (as a teaser).
