Hello,

I have an Archos Vision A14VG MP3 player. It came with a video converter application (Video_Converter.exe). When I tried to run this on my PC Ad-Aware blocked it, reporting that it had detected Trojan.Win32.Generic.pak!cobra. I think this may be a false positive. Could LavaSoft investigate please? Has anyone else had this problem? I have attached the scan log file but the video_converter.exe file is too big to send (even when zipped).

Thanks,
Andrew

Hi Andrew,

It is necessary for Lavasoft to have the file, too. Can they download the program without paying?
Or is it possible to upload the file on http://lavasoft.com/...e_positives.php ?

Thanks. I tried uploading the file to Lavasoft. Twice I received the message "Please specify a valid email address.
Please populate at least on of the fields : File, URL or scanlog." even though I had filled everything in correctly. So I am not sure if the file has arrived (can you confirm?). I did look on the Archos website (www.archos.com) to see if the file was available for download but I couldn't find it there. I could try contacting them to see if they can provide it.

Regards,
Andy

You are welcome :)

No, I cannot confirm it, but I think that error message is displayed even when the file is too big (I have bug reported that approx. a week ago). Lavasoft staff will read this topic tomorrow and will probably ask you to send the file to them by mail or something like that.

Thanks very much! I can now run the video converter software and load up some videos on my daughter's MP3 player. She's one happy lady! :)

Best wishes,
Andy
