Grooveinstaller.exe is a sync tool I purchased years ago from GrooveNets, before they got acquired (by MS I think).

smitrem.exe is a small cleaning tool for some specific stuff. Been around for years - never saw negative talk about this?
It is also used by various volunteer-help forums that help people clean their PCs.
