Version 8.2 is very old and if you want the best protection you should upgrade to the latest version.
Usually Lavasoft is only supporting a specific version for 18 month and 8.2 is older than that, but I will try to ask my contact person at Lavasoft.

Hi Oz Bezarius,Oh, come on - I'm not another stupid user who can't even do such a simple thing as importing a new definition file. The problem is with the file itself. I'll write it once again: during last two weeks there were none new definition file available for download. Take a look at compilation date of the current one - it's 2011-11-03 and it's size is 155014136 bytes. No matter how and what you try, Ad-Aware will always report it as version 149.0921, while the current version is 149.0935. I just want to know when the new file will be available for download, if ever.
We normally support each Ad-Aware version for 18 months. Ad-Aware 8.2 was released February 2010, making it 19 months old. We supported it for a bit longer than normal, but now the time has come to bid it a fond farewell. I would echo CeciliaB's helpful advice above and strongly advise you upgrade to the latest version, 9.6.
