Newbie - Please help with mysterious files

Would love some help with this ...I noticed 3 files on my desktop yesterday a.m. and I have no idea where they came from. When I ran a full scan with Ad Aware, the files seem to have something to do with Ad Aware (or is this how viruses work??). I updated Ad Aware before I ran the scan and it did find 1 malicious threat and quarantined/removed it. I restarted my computer but the icons remain on my desktop. The files are: 7zdecode.exe and binaryfiles.7z and selfdel.dll.
Can anyone please tell me if they ever heard of these files? Are they something I need to remove? I can also tell you that, at the moment, I have an update notification in the lower right corner from Adobe Reader but I'm afraid to even update that!
Appreciate any help anyone can give. Thanks!

How do you mean that the three files seemed to have something to do with Ad-Aware during its scan?
Upload the new files on your desktop to http://www.virustotal.com/ one by one, using the "Upload a file" function and post back the links to the scan reports.
Did you install something before the three files appeared?

Hi, CeciliaB
Thanks for the quick reply. I had been on Target's website and wanted to print some coupons. I had to install the Coupon Activator program from their website in order to print the coupons. Perhaps it's that! I will upload the files and post back the links this evening. Thanks again!
