How do you remove a file from quarantine?

I am new to AdAware Total Security and thought that when a scan found a virus attached to an email, the email protection part of AdAware Total Security would fix the email not the whole Outlook.pst file. Wrong, took the whole file. I'm running Win 7 64bit but AdAware is installed in the Program Files (x86) folder.

First had trouble even finding where the logs were (for those who do not know there is a little notepad icon near the top right of the window). Outlook.pst was quarantined. The help files tell you that if you uninstall, all quarantined files may remain on the system, but encrypted, and the only way to use them again is to reinstall AdAware Total Security. That indicates that a quarantined file could be recovered, but I have not found any information to help find the file or decrypt it.

I would be greatful if anyone could share how to recover a quarantined file. Thanks,

Hi n5gp,

Since you have bought the product you can use the Lavasoft support instead of this forum with volunteers. See this post by LS Digger Barnes for links:

There are not many here in the forum that uses Ad-Aware Total.

Since Ad-Aware Total Security is based on G Data's antivirus product maybe G Data's tool for working with files in the quarantine can be used: http://www.gdatasoft...downloads/tools

But it shouldn't be necessary to use a separate tool according to http://bstdownload.c...antivirus-2011/
In the screen-shot of the Quarantine there is a button labelled "Move back".
