When scanning my computer for viruses, using Avast, the end result of the scan shows a window that lists several files that could not be scanned by Avast. These files are all from AdAware SE archived and the reason given is that these files are password protected. Could someone shed some light on this issue?

Thanks

Hello PEH... welcome to lavasoft support forums

The password protected files are used by Ad-Aware to keep quaranteened items in. These are files / folders which Ad-Aware has deleted when detecting malware / spyware..... it is completely normal and nothing to worry about...

Best Regards
Steve
