QUESTION 1

The review here:

http://download.cnet...4-10045910.html

states that the Free edition of Ad-Aware 8.3 does NOT include an anti-virus. Did the reviewer get it wrong???

QUESTION 2

Does the antivirus engine in Ad-Aware Free 8.3 conflict with Avast Free 5.0.594 (or other versions of Avast Free 5)?

Many thanks.

Y.

8.3 is supposed to have anti-virus, so the reviewer got it wrong.

Maybe too early to tell if it conflicts with Avast, but usually it's recommended to run only 1 real-time protection program. Ad-Aware 8.2 used to turn off Ad-Watch files protection automatically when it detected other anti-virus programs, and there was a notification of such. Not sure if they incorporated this into the new version.
