Hello Support Gurus, I have downloaed free downloaded version AdAware version, started installation, it said I need to restart my computer to finish installation, I did that and since then AdAware did not worked, in fact few programs stopped working ..
When I click on Adaware, it just opens up "Open With" program window and ask to select a program with which this working.
I though uninstall and reinstall will help but when tried to uninstall, it opens same window as above ("Open With") and I end up cancelling it.
If I try to install AdAware again it opens same window "Open With"
also some of programs on my comp start giving problem - if I click on program, it opens same "open with" window, so looks like I am stuck now.. I am running Windows XP SP2 ..please help

I think you may be infected, especially if the programs you've tried to run are security software. Read the instructions in my signature about posting in the HijackThis forum where someone can help you diagnose/remove malware. Copy/paste or link to this topic to describe the problem.
