Goes for me to, im just venting, but not at the volunteers at Lavasoft.

Likewise, I'm pleased to see that others like yourself have picked up on the point that our frustration is not at the volunteers.
It would be even better if Lavasoft came on here occasionally & took the heat directly!

Better still, would be to announce progress made & approximate time for a resolution!!!

I just rated their product at CNET, I think everyone else should too. http://reviews.cnet....l?tag=mncol;lst

That's a great idea, & I've just done that too.

V8.2.1 is released.....

Has this version been fully tested by anyone here?

I swore I wouldn't try 8.2 until I was SURE that the bugs were fixed.

But I'm also anxious to try it.

V8.2.1 is released.....

BTW Can anyone verify the version number? Also, what are the changes that are known from 8.1?
Thanks

Mine updated to v8.2.1 yesterday and it seems to be working just fine. I did a smart scan and it is working as it used to. Also did a full scan and it is now again doing a full scan that takes as long as it used to, just over an hour. So I'm satisfied that it is once again doing what it is supposed to. But the number for the number of objects scanned is erratic when the scan first starts off. When the scan is done the number of objects scanned once again seem to be right.

Later i'll see if the auto update feature is working as it should. Just waiting for it to reach the scheduled time.

cressy ;)

edit to add

The auto update worked, it restarted on its own. There was a long delay after AAWService.exe started, close to 2 minutes, then the AAWTray.exe started and placed the icon back in the system tray.

Did you know that XP with sp2 is coming to the end of its support cycle and you need to get sp3 for continued support from Microsoft

The 2nd link goes to LS CalamityJane, an official "Staff" member, which reminded me as I had mentioned before, if some official staff would have jumped in here occasionally, it would have lessened the frustration & anxiety of all those who had the recent problems.

Not really - in some ways it might have been worse. She's not on the development team, so to be here with no progress reports might have gotten members more upset. I think the dev team gets more feedback from the paid users through customer support - that way, they're working with Plus and Pro, which include file/registry/network protection and not just the free version which only has processes protection.

Has this been fixed yet? I'm hoping that all the bugs have been sorted out at last.

Yes, it has been fixed since the 18 of March. I posted previously in this thread that v8.2.1 was out and is working. People in other threads have posted that is working for them too. At the top of this forum there is a pinned topic that tells when updates are out also.
