Web Update ( ErrorCode:-1 )

When i click on Web Update to get the latest Updates i get error message....

Connection error, check your settings ( errorcode: -1 )

can anyone help please....

Running Ad Aware 8.2.0

Windows XP

8.2 was just released and there was a similar problem with the last big update. I'd wait to see if maybe it was just overloaded servers or see if it's a widespread problem with the new 8.2 like it was last time. There are a lot of people logged on here right now, which is similar to what happened last update. If you have 8.2 and defs 149.154, you're updated already.

This worked for me.

Uninstall Ad-Aware & reinstall, mine ran thru the first update after the install just fine but after that if I went to update manually it gave the same ErrorCode. So I double clicked on Ad-Aware to open and the splash window prompting me to update now or later popped up, I clicked to update now & the update works.
