I bought Ad Aware anniversary addition because somehow this PC Anti-Spyware 2010 got onto my machine. Other posters have simiar problems - it reinstalls itself, red circle with white X in the lower right hand corner of my screen, constant "Your computer is infected!" messages. How do I get rid of this? Why doesn't Ad Aware get rid of it?

Hi,
Download DDS and save it to your desktop from here or here or here.
Disable any script blocker, and then double click dds.scr to run the tool.

- When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:
- DDS.txt
- Attach.txt
- Save both reports to your desktop. Post them back to your topic.
- Double-click .exe that you downloaded
- Click rootkit-tab and then scan.
- Don't check
Show All
box while scanning in progress! - When scanning is ready, click Copy.
- This copies log to clipboard
- Post log in your reply.

Did you just try to run DDS without doing anything? There may not be script blockers there. Just make sure antivirus protection is off while you do the run.
